The public voting for the charity we plan to give our proceeds to actually ended last week. I’ve been battling a touch of the flu and I’m just getting around to the announcement of our winner.
If you’re just tuning in, I asked that everyone suggest their favorite music charities, as we were unsure how many good ones were out there. We compiled all the suggestions and put them up for public vote. The winner of the vote will get our proceeds during our trial period of three months. If all goes well, we will have more voting for charities (and new releases) as time goes on. I was hoping we would get more people involved, but we’re very appreciative for all those who participated.
Rock Pink won the most votes! They raise awareness with the younger generation for breast cancer through music events. I swear, the fact that it’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and that we’re going with a breast cancer (/music) charity is completely coincidental. I actually just realized that as I was typing this. I stopped to look out my window and when I saw the pink lights surround the top of the John Hancock Center it hit me. How about that?
We’ll begin introducing you to the bands next.
